A Belt Filter Typt Thickener, or Gravity Belt Thickener uses the gravity force for filtration, allowing liquid to drain from the sludge through a single woven cloth belt. They are widely used in an extensive range of industries to reduce the sludge volume up to 90%. This saves greatly the transportation cost.

During the moving of sludge, a series of special plows continuously turn and distribute the sludge across the width of the belt, thus the total belt is working and a better drainage of liquid is obtained.

The belt is aligned by the air cylinders automatically during the operation, and tensioned either by mechanical springs with low investment, or by air cylinders for automatic operation.

Stainless steel nozzles are installed to clean the belt during operation, ensuring continual performance of the belt thickener. It is also featured by high quality gearmotor, bearings, filtering belt, and robust construction.
